Cadence Bank has agreed to provide cash payments and two years of free credit monitoring services in response to allegations that the bank failed to adequately protect customers' personally identifiable information (PII) during a May 2023 data security incident. Affected individuals can receive up to $2,500 in reimbursement of ordinary losses and up to $10,000 in reimbursement of extraordinary losses or an alternative cash payment, estimated to be $100. All affected individuals are eligible for two years of free credit monitoring services.
