Disability Rights Wisconsin has agreed to pay benefits to settle a lawsuit regarding a cybersecurity incident that occurred in or around October 2023 and was disclosed on or around June 21, 2024 that potentially exposed sensitive personal and protected health information, including Social Security numbers, medical diagnoses, and financial account details of over 19,000 individuals. As part of the settlement, Disability Rights Wisconsin has agreed to provide compensation, including reimbursement for lost time and out-of-pocket expenses, and free credit monitoring services.
