A settlement has been reached in a class-action lawsuit against LCMC Health Holdings, Inc. and Louisiana Children’s Medical Center ("LCMC"). The lawsuit alleged that LCMC improperly transmitted personally identifiable, nonpublic medical information to third parties, including Facebook and Google, through tracking technologies on its website and patient portal. LCMC denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to a settlement to avoid the costs and uncertainties of litigation.

The settlement class includes all LCMC Health patient portal account holders who accessed their account between January 1, 2019, and November 30, 2022.
