Legacy Health has agreed to pay $2.2 million to resolve allegations that the health system, operating in Oregon and Southwest Washington, violated the rights' of their patients by using tracking pixels on their website and patient portal, transmitting patients' personally identifiable information and protected health information to third parties without their consent.
Eligible Legacy Health patients can receive cash payments of $15 and one year of free credit monitoring services through CyEx Medical Shield Complete creditor monitoring.
Eligibility
You may qualify for benefits if you are a U.S. resident and patient of Legacy Health who registered for the patient portal from February 18, 2019 to December 31, 2020. Even if you did not register during that period, but did access the patient portal between January 1, 2021 and February 9, 2024, you may be eligible.

If you are eligible, you should have received a Notice about the settlement with an enrollment code and link to enroll in Medical Shield Complete health monitoring.
