Northwell Health has agreed to make cash payments and provide 12 months of Privacy Monitoring to patients of Northwell Health to resolve claims that the health center disclosed patients' personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) to third parties, including Meta and Google, through tracking technologies, without patient consent.
You may be eligible if you were a Northwell Health patient between January 1, 2020, and July 25, 2024.
You were a patient of Northwell Health who logged into Northwell's FollowMyHealth patient portal or who booked on appointment on Northwell's website between 1/1/2020 and 12/31/2023 are eligible for a $15 payment.
You may still be eligible to receive 1 year of Privacy Monitoring if you are not eligible for the $15 payment but you were a Northwell Health patient beween 1/1/2020 and 7/25/2024.
Eligible Northwell Health patients can receive a $15.00 cash payment.
Northwell Health patients who do not qualify for the cash payment may still qualify for Privacy Monitoring
