Sutter Health has agreed to pay $21.5 million to settle allegations that the medical center disclosed patients' personally identifiable information (PII) and/or protected health information (PHI) to third parties, such as Google and Meta, without consent through the use of third-party tracking technologies on its website, including the MyHealthOnline portal login page. Eligible patients will receive a pro rata portion of the settlement, not to exceed $90.
